U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R–Tenn.), the author of the “geosynthetic language” included in the FAST Act, has accepted an invitation to speak to attendees during spring Lobby Days for the Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA).
The GMA briefing dinner will be held at the Old Ebbitt Grill on Tuesday evening, April 26. Keith Gardner, chairman of the GMA Executive Council, will present the “2016 GMA Leader of the Year Award” to the congressman during dinner.
To accommodate the congressman’s schedule, the Executive Council meeting will be held 4–6 p.m., with the briefing dinner 7–10 p.m.

All Lobby Day participants are invited to the GMA briefing dinner. The dinner will begin with a summary of GMA activities. Then GMA’s lobbying firm, Whitmer & Worrall, will provide participants with a briefing on the following day’s appointments on Capitol Hill with an overview of the current state of politics in Washington, D.C. All attendees will receive a folder containing information for their individual or group visits with congressional delegations, including meeting times and locations.
