NAGS offers continuing education credits

News | June 1, 2011 | By:

The North American Geosynthetics Society is now certified as a registered continuing education provider.

NAGS acquired the certification via the Registered Continuing Education Providers Program (RCEP), an education management system for engineers, surveyors, and design professionals. RCEP is a joint program from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and the American Council of Engineering Companies to create a comprehensive registry of quality continuing education providers for engineers and related industry professionals.

NAGS will now offer short courses designed by professional engineers to meet continuing education requirements for license renewal. Working with the Geosynthetics Materials Association (GMA), initial plans are now under way to offer several short courses in the U.S. in 2011–2012.

Dates and locations for these sessions are forthcoming and will be announced on this site.

If your organization is interested in learning more about obtaining continuing education credits via one of our NAGS-hosted seminars, or if you want to host a seminar yourself and would like to offer continuing education credits to the attendees, please contact NAGS (nagsdirector@aol.com) for more information on how we can work together to meet your needs.
