Skellerup is now Viking

News | May 27, 2011 | By:

Viking Containment is the new name for the former Skellerup Industries, a New Zealand-based containment business established in 1996.

Viking supplies and installs geosynthetic products, including geosynthetic liners, baffle curtains, floating covers, geotextiles, geocomposites and geogrids, according to the company’s website. Its installations provide containment for landfill and leachate, potable water, petrochemical and irrigation applications, as well as dairy effluent and wastewater lagoons.

The company has offices in Christchurch, Hamilton, and Auckland.

Originally owned by Skellerup Industries, the Tiri Group acquired Skellerup’s industrial business units: containment systems, conveyor/mining, and roofing/waterproofing to form Viking Group Ltd. The Tiri Group currently has about 600 employees nationwide.
