World Of Coal Ash announces 2024 conference

The World of Coal Ash (WOCA) – the largest ash-related event in the world – has selected Grand Rapids, Mich. as the site for its 2024 conference, May 13 to 16. The Amway Grand Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids will serve as host hotel, with exhibit hall and sessions taking place just a few steps away at the DeVos Place Convention Center. Downtown restaurants, craft breweries, and shops are within walking distance of the meeting – providing WOCA attendees with a chance to engage in this vibrant Michigan city. In June, the WOCA 2022 award winners were announced. WOCA is an international conference organized by the American Coal Ash Association (ACAA) and the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER). The 2022 conference, held at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington, Ky., was the 9th joint biennial meeting with a focus on the science, applications and sustainability of worldwide coal combustion products (CCPs) as well as gasification products. Attendees represented marketers and end-users, environmental “green” businesses, architects, engineers, contractors, concrete producers, waste and disposal delegates, researchers, and governmental representatives.
