Early bird deadline for 2018 TRB Annual Meeting registration upcoming

The Transportation Research Board’s (TRB) 97^th Annual Meeting takes place Jan. 7–11, 2018, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C. The meeting covers all transportation issues, with more than 5,000 presentations in nearly 750 sessions. The meeting is expected to attract more than 13,000 transportation professionals from around the world.

For those among the 13,000 attendees who wish to save money on registration, the early bird deadline to register for the conference at reduced rates is Nov. 30, 2017.

Not that the Annual Meeting registration and hotel reservation processes are combined. TRB has contracted with 21 hotels to provide guest rooms at prevailing federal government per diem rates (currently $201/night). Hotel rooms will fill quickly, so please make your reservations early. Only registered attendees are permitted to reserve hotel rooms in the TRB hotel block. Hotel options range from large chain hotels, to boutique hotels, to hotels offering primarily suites. Locations range from the immediate vicinity of the convention center to trendy D.C. neighborhoods, such as the Dupont Circle area.
