Tensar and Geopier Foundation host technical seminars

Tensar International Corporation and Geopier Foundation Company will host technical seminars around the country on a variety of geosynthetics topics. Attendees will be able to choose which individual classes they attend based on their interests.

The next two technical seminars, which Tensar is branding as road shows, are in Southern California on Oct. 24, 2017, and in Northern California on Oct. 26, 2017.

The Southern California road show on October 24 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, Calif., running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. PDT. The session will feature a keynote by Andrew Lees, P.E., Ph.D., senior application technology manager at Tensar International, on “Mitigation of Liquefaction-Induced Differential Settlement Using Geogrid-Stabilized Gravel Rafts.” Breakout sessions will cover Geogrid Pavements and Working Surfaces, Pavement Maintenance Using Interlayer Technology, Geopier and Ground Support Technology, and Grade Separation Applications, including walls, slopes and embankments.

The Northern California road show on October 26 will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge in Emeryville, Calif., running from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. PDT. The Emeryville program will be similar in content and speakers to the Garden Grove program.

Additional Tensar/Geopier road shows with varying content will be held Nov. 1, 2017, in Akron, Ohio; Nov. 2, 2017, in Dallas, Texas; Nov. 14, 2017, in San Antonio, Texas; Dec. 6, 2017, in Tampa, Fla.; and Feb. 22, 2018, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
