With the deadline for technical paper abstracts closing in last week, a torrent of submissions flooded into the Industrial Fabrics Association International. IFAI is a co-organizer of the Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 conference and trade show March 12–15, 2017 in Orlando, Fla.

When the counting was completed a total of more than 890 abstracts were submitted for inclusion in the Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 technical sessions.

IFAI conference managers want to thank everyone who helped spread the word and to those who submitted abstracts. “This is a really exciting start to the Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 technical paper program,” said IFAI’s Barbara Connett.

Geotechnical Frontiers 2017 is co-organized by IFAI, and its Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and its Geo-Institute (G-I); supported by the North American Geosynthetics Society (NAGS) and conducted under the auspices of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS).

Previous versions of this collaboration were held as GeoFrontiers 2005 in Austin, Texas, and GeoFrontiers 2011 in Dallas.

So the abstract deadline has passed, but there are other ways to get involved. Interested in participating? Could you be a session chair or paper reviewer? Want to join our email list? Send an email to the contact below or go visit geotechnicalfrontiers.org for more information.
