HUESKER celebrating its 25th

News | March 15, 2016 | By:

Charlotte N.C.-based HUESKER Inc. this year is commemorating its 25 years of providing geosynthetics, and agricultural and industrial textiles in North and Central America.

In a March 14 press release, the company also noted its Germany-based history of more than 150 years of experience in other geographic markets.

Sven Schröer, CEO of the company’s Charlotte office, said: “Making a strong, lasting connection includes much more than manufacturing a diverse range of highly engineered products that connect to the world’s application needs. We believe a strong, lasting connection also applies to our employees, our trade partners, our customers, and our community at large.”

The press release also noted a variety of recent company efforts:

  • a cooperative with the Cleveland County (N.C.) Economic Development Partnership to expand operations in the county and the city of Shelby, N.C., by investing approximately $8.5 million into a new 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will be operational in May, 2016.
  • relocating its corporate headquarters to 3701 Arco Corporate Drive, Suite 525, in Charlotte.
  • adding about 20 new jobs, including six team members to provide new ideas, technical know-how, and engineering and industry experience: Todd Julian (vice president of sales and marketing), Frank Pace (Pace Consulting Group, will represent in the USA Midwest), Josh Venters (regional manager, Pacific Northwest and western Canada), Mike Samueloff (HaTelit North America market manager), Kevin Morgan (applications engineer), and Eric Littel, who recently joined the engineering/sales team.

CEO Schröer concluded: “Market research indicates a projected growth in the geosynthetics market of over 8.9% by 2017. With the North American geosynthetic demand for geotextiles growing, HUESKER has to respond aggressively to ensure continued improvement in customer orientation, reaction times and product and service portfolio. We have served our trade partners, distribution friends, and end-users well over the past 25 years … We will continue to improve and expand our services to employees, partners, customers, and the community at large.”
