Bentonite compatibility
with propylene glycol

Are there any issues regarding bentonite GCL compatibility with propylene glycol? Any information you could share would be helpful. Thanks.

Scott,
There is no issue with respect to propylene glycol and bentonite as in GCLs. A case history paper published about 10 years ago used GCLs to line tarmac de-icing runoff trenches at the then-new Munich, Germany, airport. It was based on laboratory tests and an intense review by the German Airport Authority. I’ll look for the paper and send it to you.
