Geosynthetica.net sold to Minerva

News | March 11, 2011 | By:

Ian Peggs, principal at the Florida-based geosynthetics design and consulting engineering firm, I-Corp International, announced in a March 10 news release the sale of the company’s geosynthetica.net division to Minerva Technology Resources & Information of Austin, Texas.

The release described the move as “in line with I-Corp’s general philosophy of finding new technologies for introduction to the geosynthetics sector, developing them, providing them as a service, teaching others how to use them, then moving on to find the next new technology.”

“It has been an interesting challenge to develop geosynthetica.net from a time when people were not quite sure about what could be achieved on the Internet to the present time when we cannot live without it,” said Dr. Peggs, I-Corp’s president and founder. “Minerva will provide an invigorating new environment for the continued growth of geosynthetica.net, which is still in the capable hands of Elizabeth Peggs, Chris Kelsey, and David Cabrera.”

The news release said that I-Corp and Dr. Peggs will continue to provide engineering plastics and geosynthetic materials performance consulting and testing services to clients in more than 40 countries, with an emphasis on forensic analysis and expert witness work (with Dr. J.P. Giroud), materials selection/specification, liner leak location, nondestructive test development, liner remaining lifetime determination, and workshops and seminars.
