Strata Geosystems India Private Ltd. announced Aug. 10 that its manufacturing plant in Daman, which produces high-tenacity geogrid, was awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate, by internationally recognized certification body TUV-Nord. That standard is developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
“Strata Geosystems takes its quality performance commitment to customers very seriously,” said Narendra Dalmia, CEO & director of Strata Geosystems India. “We are proud of the team in our Daman facility for complying with the rigorous certification requirements.”
To receive the certification, the Daman plant underwent inspections to demonstrate its quality management system. This system includes processes for customer service, stage-wise documentation, adherence to customer requirements, and product improvement. The ISO certificate assures Strata’s ongoing compliance with globally recognized ISO standards for quality management systems to enhance customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.
The ISO 9001:2008 standard is a set of quality guidelines that ensures the use of effective processes that are consistently monitored and improved to achieve product quality consistency. As the industry standard for quality management systems, ISO 9001:2008 certification requires evaluation by an independent, accredited auditing body.
