Expo Asia to offer Technical Symposiums

In addition to four-day trade show, IFAI Expo Asia 2011 will feature a series of valuable symposiums. Conference delegates will learn about the latest technologies, market trends, engineering construction, product designs and fabrication strategies for improving sales, market share, and profitability.

The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) has announced the formation of an industry advisory committee for Expo Asia 2011, the major technical textiles industry event being organized for Singapore in March 2011.

Advisory Committee members include: Henk Stijweg, B.van Zuiden (Asia) Ltd., Thailand; Samir Gupta, Business Co-ordination House (BCH), India; Junko Takai, Hivix Co. Ltd., Japan; Martin King, North Carolina State University College of Textiles, USA; and Roshan Shishoo, Shishoo Consulting, Sweden.

According to IFAI President and CEO Steve Warner, “We are extremely pleased to have these industry experts from around the world help guide the premiere of IFAI Expo Asia 2011. They each represent expertise in different market segments of our diverse industry.”

Technical Symposiums for the Expo Asia event are being developed to provide insight on rapidly growing sectors of the market. Symposium topics include:

  • Geosynthetic applications for infrastructure and environment
  • Technical nonwoven applications
  • Medical and healthcare applications
  • The future of e-textiles and smart fabrics
  • Alternative/eco-textiles
  • Protective clothing
  • Agricultural textiles
  • Transportation materials
