Three years after opening its first laboratory in China in 2006, Precision Geosynthetic Laboratories International (PGLI) announced that it is now the first foreign geosynthetic laboratory certified by the CMA (China Metrology Accreditation), according to a press release from the company.
The certification allows PGLI to issue reports with the CMA mark, which is accepted by the Chinese government for evaluation of a product’s quality and safety. It is also used for the conformance to the mandatory standards in China, the release stated.
Headquartered in Anaheim, Calif., PGLI operates its China testing facility in Suzhuo Industrial Park, Jiangsu Province. The PGLI team couples more than 25 years of experience and knowledge of technical services, and provides timely response to the needs of the growing Chinese geosynthetics market, the release noted.
PGLI is an independent testing company specializing in manufacturing quality assurance (MQA) inspection and sampling, manufacturing quality control (MQC) testing, a full range of geosynthetic testing services. It has offices in California, Texas, Georgia, and China.
