Draintube Conductive is a multi-linear drainage geocomposite that contains an electrically conductive grid made of stainless-steel cables. The grid is placed between the two geotextiles to allow geo-electrical leak detection. Draintube Conductive acts as an effective leak location layer between typical geomembranes. Common applications include double-lined systems such as containment ponds and storage cells. Functions of the geocomposite include puncture protection, filtration, drainage and homogeneous diffusion of electric current. Draintube Conductive is compatible with most geo-electrical leak location surveys, including water puddle and arc test techniques for exposed geomembranes (ASTM D7002) and dipole method on covered geomembranes (ASTM D7007). As a lightweight rolled product, Draintube Conductive is faster, safer and easier to install relative to competing geocomposites. Panels can be overlapped, heat-tacked or sewn, and mini-pipes are easily tied into collector pipes using the Quick-Connect system.
