HeatGard high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembranes can be used in the following applications: hot brine containment, a secondary liner under heated tanks, leachate recirculation landfills, hot potable water containment, mining heap leach ponds and long-term chlorinated water immersion. The new HeatGard HDPE has been tested to be able to withstand continuous use at 185°F (85°C) for more than 20 years. The geomembrane has excellent chlorine resistance, has chemical resistance, is fully stabilized against ultraviolet light exposure and has excellent stress-cracking resistance.
