Scott Edgecombe, most recently global CEO and managing director at Tensar, has been named president of Cornerstone Detention Products, Inc., a detention equipment contractor and security electronics integrator headquartered in Montgomery, Ala.
Edgecombe spent about a decade at Tensar, a division of Commercial Metals Company (CMC), in various roles.
As president at Cornerstone, Edgecombe will focus on overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and execution as Cornerstone continues to expand its footprint across domestic and international markets.
“I look forward to partnering closely with Scott as we execute our strategy and strengthen our operations, building on the strong momentum across the business,” said Cornerstone founder and CEO Charles “Mitch” Claborn. “His leadership experience, business acumen, and people-first approach make him an outstanding addition to our executive team.”
“Cornerstone has earned its position by becoming a trusted advisor — by doing the work right, project after project, for nearly three decades,” said Edgecombe. “What drew me here is the combination of real manufacturing capability, a national service footprint, and a culture built on integrity. Our customers operate facilities where reliability isn’t negotiable. My job is to help the company build the capacity to support its continued growth while delivering the same level of quality and reliability our customers expect.”
