Tensar presents the webinar – Comparing Geogrids Used in Civil Construction Projects – on February 15, 2024 from 1 to 2 p.m. EST. It is free for members and non-members and you can register here.

There are dozens of geogrids and other geosynthetic products used in civil construction projects such as roadways, crane pads, working platforms, airfield runways and rail tracks. Project owners and designers need to know how to select the right geogrid for their project: how do you compare different geogrids? For example, when it comes to roadway construction, the keys are proper design and testing to validate performance. This webinar will address the issues of selecting the proper geogrid and more importantly, how to properly compare different geogrids being used on the same project.

The speaker is Paul Schmitz, EVP Public Roads Market Manager at Tensar International Corporation. Since graduating in 1990 from  The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Paul has held a variety of sales, business development and sales management roles within the construction and technology industry. Over the last 15 years, his experience has been promoting synthetic building materials in the civil and marine construction industry.

In early 2020, Paul transitioned to Tensar International Corporation as the Market Manager for Public Roads, setting the strategic growth plan for this market. He consults with a variety of clientele from contractors and engineers to all levels of government agencies, including extensive experience with federal agencies such as USACE, USFS and the NRCS.
