Bentofix X multicomponent geosynthetic clay liners (GCLs) combine two durable geotextile outer layers with a core of high-swelling powder sodium bentonite clay and a polyethylene extrusion-coated barrier. Bentofix X applications include landfill caps, closures and bases, environmental protection under roads, railways and airports, dams and dikes, water containment, structural waterproofing, secondary containment, mining and tunnels. The GCLs provide immediate sealing and long-term performance. The polyethylene coating gives add-on values (improved fluid barrier, desiccation resistance, root barrier, and protection against ionic exchange and piping).

Forsstrom High Frequency AB

The TG-90 Mega gantry machine is designed to produce large products, such as geomembranes. The TG-90 Mega enables flexible and efficient production for large-volume products. The machine is equipped with manual, lateral movement of 24 inches (610 mm), as well as manual 180° rotation of the welding head. These properties allow for a reduction of material handling times. The TG-90 Mega is a traveling machine with a welding table length adaptable to customer requirements.

Juki AMS Series Industrial Sewing Machines improve seam quality (thread tension) for sewing seat belts and general heavyweight materials, including container belts and bags. This machine, with a slide-type thread take-up lever, is designed for improved stitching with heavy threads tension. The Juki AMS Series has a unique active-tension mechanism, which has been redesigned for heavyweight materials, as well as the slide-type thread take-up lever, which is suited for sewing heavyweight materials and increases the maximum tension by 50% over standard models. 

TenCate Geosynthetics

Mirafi MPG4 is a glass filament reinforced paving composite that is manufactured by mechanically bonding glass fiber bundles to a nonwoven paving fabric. This composite paving grid combines the key reinforcing properties of glass filaments with the liquid asphalt retention capacity of a nonwoven paving fabric for optimum pavement performance. Mirafi MPG4 offers significant benefit to pavement overlays through crack reflection management, moisture barrier, high adhesive bonding, asphalt recycling and chemical resistance to road salt and other chemical deicing agents.

Leister Technologies

The Leister Technologies UNIDRIVE 500 compact semiautomatic welding machine combines manual and automatic welding in a 9.9-pound (4.5-kg) handy plastic welding device with a service-friendly brushless motor. The reversible UNIDRIVE 500 can be used for geomembrane installation, tunneling, and patches and repairs. Thanks to its overlap technology, it’s ideal for welding various thermoplastic membranes, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO). With an ergonomic handle for consistent pressure, the UNIDRIVE 500 is up to three times faster than manual welders. 

Forsstrom High Frequency AB

The MG-Flex 300 was developed for joining large and heavy panels (e.g., for geomembranes). MG-Flex 300 (8 kW) is a compact radio frequency (RF) welding machine with a welding head that can rotate 180°. The standard MG-Flex is movable on wheels for joining large and heavy panels. It can optionally be equipped with a built-in compressor to make it even more flexible.

Solmax

Solmax’s anchored LiteEarth capping system enables capping of basins where erosion and soil instability make it difficult to install and operate traditional capping systems. While traditional systems require significant design considerations and maintenance to avoid erosion of the cover, the LiteEarth capping system is a monolithic geosynthetic system with no granular ballast to maintain. The KUHNE Flat Film Geomembrane Extrusion Line is effective in the manufacturing of smooth or spiked geomembranes. It has high output, unsurpassed thickness uniformity and the option to add spikes, improving grip to the soil. An output of 7,700 pounds/hour (3,500 kg/h) can be reached, producing smooth geomembranes. A thickness tolerance of ±1.25% in 3-Sigma over a width of 26 feet (8 m) is achievable, resulting in substantial resin savings.
