The Drain Away geocomposite drainage system is effective for site drainage, curtain drains, foundations, retaining walls, slopes, erosion control, slope slip repairs, roadways and athletic fields. This drainage system drains and lowers the water table without the labor and costs of aggregate. The geocomposite is lightweight and easy to install, and requires less area, time, labor and equipment than conventional stone and pipe.

Coletanche ES bituminous geomembranes have waterproofed public works and civil engineering projects around the world. Their high technical performance makes them suitable for a wide range of applications for both new build and renovation projects in various sectors, including environmental applications (retention of solid and liquid waste, biogas barriers), hydraulics (dams, canals, basins), transport (bridges, roadside ditches, railway lines) and underground construction (walls, tunnels). Coletanche ES is designed to provide excellent mechanical, chemical and climatological resistance. 

PRESTORUS LLC

The weld-free rolled geocell GEOSTEP is effective with many reinforcement applications, including slopes of various steepness, slopes of coastlines and reservoir canals, and bridge cones and landscaping. GEOSTEP comes in 10.5 foot (3.2 m) wide and 49–82 feet (15–25 m) long sheets that can be rolled up and handled with a carpet pole. It offers lower costs and faster installation than aggregate. GEOSTEP promotes and protects vegetation, and has improved drainage properties due to its wavy structure.

AGRU America Inc.

AGRU Sure-Grip Concrete Protective Liners, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE), high-density electrically conductive polyethylene (HDPE-el), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene (ECTFE), are produced with state-of-the-art manufacturing technology. Sure-Grip prevents concrete corrosion and degradation, extends the life of structures, and helps prevent exfiltration of material into the environment. Sure-Grip liners have unique anchoring systems that enable construction in areas of significant back pressure. Unlike spray-applied liners, which must be reapplied regularly due to cracking or delamination, Sure-Grip liners are long lasting.

XR-FR is a geomembrane material for use in secondary containment applications in the oil and gas industry where flammable and combustible tank containment is required. The XR Geomembrane product line offers much higher tensile strength and puncture resistance when compared to other geomembranes. XR also offers outstanding weathering resistance and industry-leading chemical-resistance properties, and it is ideal for use in exposed applications. XR-FR meets ULC S668 and NFPA 701 guidelines.

For engineers designing with geomembranes where drainage and high interface friction are critical, AGRU Super Gripnet is a novel product that can be combined with a geotextile to create an integrated drainage system. Super Gripnet offers significant logistics and installation cost savings. When part of a drainage system, machined upward-facing studs and bottom-facing asperities in AGRU Super Gripnet provide high flow rates, reliable drainage capacity, high friction surface, superior slope performance, 15% faster installation and substantial cost savings. 

Tentoma

The RoRo StretchPack packaging machinery is popular for wrapping of nonwoven geotextiles and similar rolls. Horizontal packaging of rolls in a seamless tubular stretch film provides 100% waterproof, uniform rolls. The RoRo StretchPack offers a core plug applicator for automatic core plugging. RoRo StretchPack provides sustainable packaging solutions, and it stretches the film while packaging, which means users avoid excessive utilization of film. Customers have seen a reduction in film consumption by 25% to 60% compared to conventional wrapping products.

Combigrid geocomposites are geogrids with an integrated nonwoven geotextile component. Combigrid soil-reinforcement applications are base and subbase course stabilization and reinforcement, basal reinforcement for embankments, load transfer platforms (LTP) over piles, bridging of mining voids and sinkholes, reinforced foundations, airport runways and graded portions, working platforms, pipe trenches, and lagoons/tailing ponds. Combigrid combines reinforcement, stabilization, filtration, separation and drainage in one product. The geocomposite provides immediate interlock with fill material (no construction-related strain), high tensile stiffness, high radial stiffness and high cyclic tensile stiffness.

Tensar is now offering InterAx Geogrids that enhance infrastructure resiliency in conditions such as storms and floods, frost heave and expansive soils, liquefiable soils, and disaster recovery and rebuilding. InterAx achieves construction cost savings by stabilizing pavement foundations with reduced amounts of aggregate fill. A major part of InterAx geogrids is the creation of new design methods that precisely quantify the performance of stabilized aggregate layers in multiple applications. Tensar’s design software, Tensar+, helps engineers design with and specify InterAx.

Mirafi H2Ri is a proven continuous moisture management system for more sustainable and economical pavements. Mirafi H2Ri is a highly engineered geosynthetic that incorporates a water-wicking component in addition to stabilization to provide the ultimate integrated geosynthetic. Manufactured from woven, high-tenacity polypropylene filaments and patented wicking filaments to provide the combined functions of reinforcement, confinement, separation and filtration, Mirafi H2Ri also provides continuous moisture management of soil/aggregate materials in saturated and unsaturated conditions. 

TYPAR Geosynthetics

TYPAR Geocells are used in slope protection applications to improve resistance to erosive forces on steep, unstable slopes exposed to severe hydraulic/mechanical stresses. In load support applications, TYPAR Geocells transfer downward forces laterally, reducing loads on underlying soils. This cellular confinement system is an ideal solution for stabilization over poor soil conditions, reducing constructed profile depth and cost, and protecting subsoils from compaction. TYPAR Geocells employ the strength and permeability of geotextiles to create a 3D cellular confinement system.

The PSA seaming tape has a wide range of benefits, including high quality and durability, even in high and low temperatures. This waterproof product provides UV protection for up to six months. Made from spun-bonded, woven-coated polyester, PSA Seaming Tape is available in custom colors and sizes. 

GeoStorage Corp.

The GeoStorage Water Quality Sand Filter System services the stormwater management market. It combines stormwater detention and flood control with a sand filter for water quality treatment. Sand filters are used routinely with stormwater ponds to remove pollutants. They are expensive and impractical in underground stormwater detention systems that cannot provide access for inspection and maintenance crews. GeoStorage systems enable the installation of a sand filter below the chamber floor that is simple, straightforward and inexpensive. 

AGRU America Inc.

Unlike existing methods of cleaning and preparing field welds, which rely on time-consuming manual inspections and cleaning, AGRU CleanSeam protective strip is removed before welding occurs and leaves behind no residue—only a clean, weld-ready geomembrane. AGRU CleanSeam can be integrated into all AGRU geomembranes to provide significant time and cost savings during the weld phase of geomembrane installation by mitigating the risk of particle buildup. The protective release film protects the geomembrane weld edges from exposure to field conditions.

Secutex Green is a 100% biodegradable, mechanically bonded separation and filtration nonwoven geotextile used for separation, filtration and protection. Typical fields of application are gardening and landscaping, temporary path and road construction, embankment protection/natural waterway construction, coastal protection (single nonwoven geotextile layer or sand containers) and scour protection (sand containers). Secutex Green offers reduced transport emissions and improved CO₂ balance. Exclusively organic, natural and renewable raw materials are used in manufacturing.

TYPAR Geosynthetics

The Biobarrier root and weed control system stops root growth through the slow, controlled release of a nonsystemic herbicide that has been used in food crop production for more than 40 years. It is effective in applications such as protecting surface infrastructure (sidewalks, roads), building foundations and underground infrastructure (pipes, septic systems) from aggressive tree root damage. Biobarrier creates a continuous chemical and physical barrier against roots without impeding the flow of water, air and nutrients.

The reinforced geocell GEOCORD is a new generation of geosynthetics with improved technical characteristics used in load support applications. The novelty of GEOCORD is its reinforcement with strong synthetic fibers that improve structural performance under long-term stress and repetitive loads. The geocell works well with reinforcement of roadbeds, embankments and platforms; reinforcement of weak bases and structural layers of roads; arrangement of driveways and service drives; arrangement of parking lots for massive construction equipment; and protection of embankments and dams.

ER 1000 EIA/KEE coated fabrics are effective in primary and secondary containment applications including wastewater baffles and EPS geofoam protection. The coated fabrics are available in two designs: potable water NSF 61 applications, and hydrocarbon and chemical resistant applications. ER 1000 EIA/KEE are reinforced with a ballistic-grade, tightly woven polyester base fabric utilizing polymer blending to create a strong EIA copolymer alloy. ER 1000 fabrics offer excellent resistance to extreme weather conditions, chemicals, abrasion and punctures, as well as high UV stability.
