Clearwell Group, an investment advisory and family business consulting firm based in Tampa, Fla., has made a strategic investment in Valor Environmental, a new erosion control venture focused on services and compliance, Clearwell said in a prepared statement. The new company combines four businesses to create the largest erosion control and environmental compliance company in the United States. The investment facilitates the combination of AlphaEMC of Winter Springs, Fla.; HydroSpec of Ball Ground, Ga.; Watkins Erosion Control of Dallas, Ga.; and Erosion Compliance LLC of Austin, Texas.

“This is an exciting new chapter for Valor Environmental’s customers and employees,” says Ryan Cortner, partner at Clearwell Group. “Each of these businesses brings a legacy of customer-service excellence under a newly combined management team.”

Kirk Foster will serve as president of the company bringing more than 15 years’ industry experience with Alpha EMC. Chris Geist and Howard Surratt will complement Foster on Valor’s management team, both serving as regional senior vice presidents.

“We are excited about the prospect of bringing together [more than] 60 years of industry knowledge and unwavering local client support,” says Foster.
