TRB’s AKG80 Standing Committee on Geosynthetics seeking abstracts for 2022 young person’s poster session

Events | July 13, 2021 | By:

The Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Geosynthetics has issued a call for abstracts for the young persons’ (age 35 and under) poster session at the TRB 101st Annual Meeting, Jan. 9–13, 2022, in Washington, D.C. Eligible researchers and engineers are invited to submit abstracts mentioning and showcasing their research works in this special poster session. The theme of the 2022 TRB Annual Conference is “Innovating a More Equitable, Resilient, Sustainable and Safe Transportation System.” We particularly urge young members and friends to prepare their abstracts that link their poster topic with the theme of the conference. Currently, TRB is limiting a maximum of 2 posters per committee. TRB has 10 Geology and Geotechnical Engineering committees and, therefore, TRB anticipates 20 poster presentations.

All young members will have to register for the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting to present their posters, and TRB anticipates the 2022 TRB Annual Meeting will be an in-person event, and hence we need participants to be able to register, come in person and then present at the conference. Please note that there will not be any registration waivers for this poster session.

For more information or to submit an abstract, contact AKG80 Standing Committee Chair Jennifer Nicks at jennifer.nicks@dot.gov.
