TenCate launches geotextile continuous moisture management system

News | April 2, 2019 | By:

Moisture is the enemy of roadway and civil structure durability. It accelerates the deterioration of assets and increases the financial loss and risk for everyone. Unchecked, the challenges brought about by moisture drain time, money and resources that could otherwise be used to fund new projects.

In 2011, TenCate Geosynthetics initially launched Mirafi® H2Ri woven geotextiles into the market. Since then, research has been underway to further enhance this product and its uses.

Mirafi H2Ri is the only solution in the geosynthetic market that integrates the traditional reinforcement and stabilization functions with a continuous moisture management system that improves the longevity and sustainability of roadways and other civil structures such as parking lots, runways, truck courts and railroads.

These benefits enable contractors, DOTs and business owners to experience the impact of cost savings and the minimization of risk over the asset’s life span.

“The Mirafi H2Ri solution is the result of years of research into combating the damaging results that moisture has in roadways and other civil structures,” said Todd M. Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing at TenCate Geosynthetics Americas. “We are proud to now offer engineers this simple and proven solution that reduces life-cycle costs via its active moisture management capabilities.”
