IFAI rolls out new member benefits

News | January 17, 2019 | By:

The Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) has created new IFAI member benefits over the past year. The following is a listing of IFAI’s new member offerings for geosynthetics-related organizations, companies and individuals.

Textile Industry Retirement Plan

An exclusive benefit available to U.S. IFAI members. By participating in the Textile Industry Retirement Plan, members can provide employees with a 401(k) plan that saves money and saves administrative time.

Plan benefits:

  • No individual annual plan audit
  • No individual Form 5500 reporting
  • Competitive pricing and cost savings on investments
  • Flexibility including Safe Harbor and Roth
  • Customizable 401(k) plan design including eligibility, matches and vesting schedules

The Textile Industry Retirement Plan acts as one large plan and is treated as such from a government-reporting perspective. It has a suite of competitive investment options, provides employee education, and most of the administrative duties fall to the plan, saving members time and resources.

The administrative tasks are handled by Transamerica, our partner in the Textile Industry Retirement Plan.

Members can have their current plan evaluated at no cost, by contacting:

Textile Industry Health Plan (under development)

IFAI is developing the Textile Industry Health Plan that our member companies can access and offer to employees. The idea is to leverage members as a large group to secure rates and coverages that will be better than the local markets.

We are working with national insurance carriers with large networks of providers throughout the United States. The plan will have a menu of options regarding coverage, deductibles and copays. In addition, the plan will have options for dental, vision and other ancillary insurance products.

The target date for rolling out the plan is June 1, 2019.
