World Environmental & Water Resources Congress

June 3–7 | Minneapolis, Minn.

Hosted by the Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the World Environmental & Water Resources Congress brings together the top environmental and water resources infrastructure professionals. Topics include erosion and sediment control, numerical modeling, hydraulic engineering, sustainability and much more.


IGS Georeinforcement & Geobarriers Workshops

June 4–7 | Munich, Germany

The International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) is hosting two consecutive two-day workshops on georeinforcement and geobarriers at the Best Western Atrium Hotel in Munich, Germany. The workshops will emphasize discussion, with extensive interaction between the presenters and attendees. Appropriate for researchers and engineers in the geosynthetics field, the workshops will focus on applications such as mining, coal ash, infrastructure, MSE design and waste management.


ASTM Committee D35 on Geosynthetics

June 27–29 | San Diego, Calif.

Biannual meetings of the ASTM Committee D35 on Geosynthetics and its subcommittees will be held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina.



APWA PWX and IFME World Congress

Aug. 26–29 | Kansas City, Mo.

The American Public Works Association (APWA), in conjunction with the International Federation of Municipal Engineering (IFME), will host the joint APWA Public Works Expo (PWX) and IFME World Congress at the Kansas City Convention and Entertainment Center. The conference, designed for public works professionals at all levels, features traditional and interactive sessions, seminars, workshops and networking opportunities, as well as America’s largest exhibit floor for public works equipment and services.


SWANA WasteCon 2018

AUG. 20–23 | Nashville, Tenn.

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) WasteCon® features technical presentations, roundtable discussions and workshops on the handling of solid waste. The event will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.



11th International Conference on Geosynthetics

Sept. 16–21 | Seoul, South Korea

The 11th International Conference on Geosynthetics (11ICG) will be held at Coex in Seoul, South Korea, from Sept. 16 to 21, 2018. The Korean Geosynthetics Society (KGSS), the IGS Korea Chapter and host of the 11ICG, is expecting to attract more than 1,000 experts from more than 100 countries. Under the theme of “Geosynthetics: Innovative Solutions for Sustainable Development,” a wealth of scientific programs has been prepared featuring geotechnical and geosynthetics experts.11ICG will offer 63 sessions.

Geosynthetics 2019
