Geocomp hires Epstein as Southeast regional manager

Geocomp, a geostructural consulting, design, instrumentation and testing company, hired Aaron C. Epstein, P.E., to lead the consulting division in the company’s Atlanta, Georgia, offices in the position of Southeast regional manager, the company said. Epstein will develop Geocomp’s southeastern U.S. geostructural engineering services, expand opportunities for structural health monitoring and geotechnical instrumentation/monitoring, and support the company’s geotechnical materials testing lab.

Epstein comes to Geocomp from United Consulting, a geotechnical engineering firm in suburban Atlanta, where he worked for more than 25 years, most recently as a geotechnical team leader, Geocomp said. His background is in geotechnical, materials testing and geostructural consulting in infrastructure projects, including bridges, building foundations, dams, tunnels, and mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls and slopes.

Geocomp said, Epstein also is experienced in providing engineering support for insurance companies and law firms, and for forensic investigations to determine the causes of geotechnical/geostructural problems or failures.
