TenCate hires Mac Millan

TenCate announced early October the hiring of Ashley Mac Millan, P.E., as Engineering Business Manager—Northwest (Utah, Idaho, Ore., Wash.).

Mac Millan has a BS in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and brings more than seven years of geotechnical engineering experience to TenCate. She has served as a technical expert on mechanically stabilized earth structures, including conducting the forensic evaluation of more than 100 deficient retaining structures in the U.S. and Canada. She holds certification in the Installation and Inspection of MSE Walls, Berms and Slopes from the Geosynthetic Accreditation Institute—Inspectors Certification Program (GCI-ICP). She has developed and delivered multiple presentations at regional and national venues on her project work including the instrumentation, monitoring and performance evaluation of geosynthetic reinforced soil–integrated bridge systems.

Mac Millan is vice president of the Women’s Transportation Seminar Northern Utah Chapter, former president of the Utah Section ASCE Younger Member’s Forum and a member of the ASCE Earth Retaining Structures Technical Committee. Mac Millan was a recipient of ASCE Utah’s Fresh Face of Engineering award in 2016 and a 2017 professional development grant recipient from the Deep Foundation’s Institute’s Educational Trust and Women in Deep Foundations Committee.
