Thrace appoints Lake, Sparks into new positions

The Thrace Group announced in a Jan. 10 press release that Andreas Lake will assume a newly created position—group development director for the company’s Technical Fabrics Division.

The release also said that Brian Sparks, former vice president of sales and business development, will replace Lake as the general manager of the Thrace Linq organization based in Summerville, S.C.

“These exciting changes are part of the Thrace Group’s strategy to provide excellence and cutting edge innovation to the markets we serve,” said George Braimis, Thrace Group chief operating officer and Thrace Linq chairman.

The press release noted that Lake brings 26 years in the nonwoven fabric industry with extensive knowledge of markets, technologies, and products; and that Sparks’ background is 17 years in the technical fabrics industry. He has been with Thrace Linq since 2010.

Thrace Linq commenced operations in May 2007. Thrace Linq Inc. is a supplier of woven and nonwoven technical fabrics for a variety of textile applications in the Americas.
