New technical manager at Solmax

Doyin Adesokan

In an Oct. 26 press release, Montreal, Canada-based Solmax International Inc. announced its hiring of a new technical manager, Doyin Adesokan, B. Eng. MSc.

Adesokan has worked in Africa, Europe, and North America and she is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. She has previously worked at TetraTech EBA Canada, SNC Lavalin Canada, Unite Group Plc Nottingham, U.K., and Energy and Mineral Resources Ltd., Nigeria

Adesokan received a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Nigeria; a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Nottingham, U.K.; and a master’s degree in sustainable environmental management from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.

She is currently completing her Ph.D. at the Department of Civil and Geological Engineering, University of Saskatchewan, conducting research in the areas of geotechnics and geosynthetics, evaluating the short- and long-term mechanical properties of tire-derived aggregates (TDA) as a substitute for mineral aggregates in engineering applications.
