Demtech opens warehouse and service center in Ohio

Demtech Services Inc. has issued a press release to announce the opening of its new warehouse and service center in Hinckley, Ohio, about 25 miles south of Cleveland. The release said “The site is strategically located to expedite shipping for, and interaction with, the company’s many clients and markets in the eastern United States.”

Demtech is a prominent geosynthetic installation equipment manufacturer, parts supplier, and maintenance provider. The company is based in Placerville, Calif.

“For years, we’ve been more than 2,000 miles from many of our largest customers,” said Dave (“Demo Dave”) McLaury, founder of Demtech. “The new warehouse and service center enables us to cut overnight shipping costs considerably for our clients. We can now even offer fast ground shipping.”

The press release noted that while the manufacturing of new equipment still takes place in California, the Ohio warehouse offers the full inventory of Demtech equipment, such as wedge welders, extrusion welders, sampling equipment, and other machines and parts needed by geosynthetic installers.

The facility in Ohio follows the “Demtech on the Move” program, which for the past few years has sent four field technicians from strategic points around the country directly to jobsites to provide on-the-spot maintenance services, parts, and equipment. The new warehouse will further support this program as well as shipping and technical support and sales visits directly to the offices of geosynthetic installers.
