GSE’s Ramsey assumes new position in China

In a July 27 letter to friends and industry colleagues, Boyd Ramsey announced that he is moving into a new position and location with GSE Environmental. Ramsey has accepted the position of technical director for the GSE Asia-Pacific region and will be relocating to the Jiangsu Province of China, about 100km (62mi.) northwest of Shanghai near GSE’s manufacturing facility in Suzhou.

Ramsey has been an active member in the geosynthetics community, serving on the executive councils of both the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) and the Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA). He is also a member of the Industrial Fabrics Association International Board of Directors. IFAI is the umbrella company for GMA as well as more than a dozen other industry trade associations.

Ramsey said that he expects to remain engaged with the geosynthetics industry, particularly with the IGS Executive Council and the IFAI Board of Directors. GSE’s participation in GMA activities will be assumed by Bill Betke.

Ramsey said, short-term, his cell phone number and contact email would not change.
