IECA search is on for new executive director

News | July 3, 2015 | By:

The Denver-based International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is seeking a new executive director, following the departure of Russ Adsit, according to a July 2 press release from the organization.

The release stated: “IECA Region One has begun a search for a new executive director to lead IECA through the implementation of our organization’s new strategic plan. The strategic plan focuses on key areas such as membership growth and benefits, delving more deeply into new educational opportunities, and forging new and expanded organizational partnerships.”

Adsit had led IECA since 2007. The press release noted that he “was instrumental in moving the IECA office from Steamboat Springs to Denver, making our office more accessible to members. He was a key asset to IECA as we implemented the regionalization plan that resulted in Regions One and Two, as well as the development of the International Regional Council (IRC).”

The release explained that in 2012, IECA formed Region One and Region Two. Region One consists of North America, South America, and Europe. Region Two includes Africa, Asia, and Australia.
