Strata hires international sales manager

McGoldrick to concentrate on markets outside U.S.

Georgia-based Strata Systems Inc. announced in a February press release that it has named Phil McGoldrick its new international sales manager. The release said that McGoldrick will focus on the growth of Strata’s business in Europe, India, the Middle East, and South America.

McGoldrick was born and raised in Scotland and currently lives in Dublin, Ireland. He has a background in geosynthetics and combines a technical skill set as a registered engineer with business experience on an international platform. He has a BSc (hons) civil/geotechnical engineering from Dundee University, with a 27-year focus on geosynthetics.

The press release noted that McGoldrick has worked for Exxon Chemicals, Polyfelt, Tenax, and maintained a seven-year position as Tensar’s Asia-Pacific regional manager based in Jakarta. Most recently, he managed CETCO Contracting Services in Europe and the Middle East.

The release said that McGoldrick’s particular experience relevant to his new position is his expertise with reinforcement of retaining walls, steep slopes, and embankments over soft subgrades in markets such as mining, landfills, railroads, ports, and public transportation projects.
