Huesker joins GMA’s Executive Council

Geosynthetics association’s governing body grows to 11.

The Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA) announced this week that Charlotte, N.C.-based Huesker Inc. has joined GMA’s Executive Council (EC).

The EC is the GMA’s governing body for the 86-member trade association that represents the interests of companies involved in the geosynthetics industry.

Huesker CEO Sven Schröer is the primary EC contact. Brian Baillie, engineering/sales manager, is the secondary contact.

With Huesker on board, GMA’s EC now includes 11 members. The GMA Executive Council is a membership level open to all GMA member companies. This level of membership commitment primarily funds and sustains GMA programs and activities. All GMA Executive Council members have a single vote to direct all of GMA’s activities, including setting GMA’s strategic plan, vision, and goals.

The other current members of the GMA Executive Council are: Crown Resources, GSE Environmental, Nilex Inc., Polymer Group Inc. (formerly Fiberweb), Tensar International Corp., Propex, TenCate Geosynthetics Americas, Thrace-LINQ, TRI/Environmental, and Willacoochee Industrial Fabrics.

New general GMA members since January 2014 include: Brawler Industries, Geosynthetics Technologies Co. Ltd., Jenessco Industries Inc., Plastextil S.A., S.M.R.E.-SPA, Tecnoplasticos Lome, S.A. de C.V., and Watershed Geosynthetics LLC.
