Spanish Chapter of IGS organizing Nov. 5–6 event.
A June 3 press release announced that Seville, Spain, is the host city for Congress Geosintec Iberia1, Nov. 5–6, 2013.
The event is organized by the Spanish Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), with the collaboration of other institutions, both public and private. Last September, the IGS Spanish Chapter organized EuroGeo5, which was held in Valencia, Spain.
Geosintec Iberia1 will take place at the Hotel Meliá Lebreros, located in the vicinity of the high-speed train station (AVE), according to the release.
The Congress will include the participation of IGS president, Jorge Zornberg, and IGS past-president, Jean Pierre Giroud, both presenting keynote lectures.
The press release noted that, together with contributions from other speakers, the event “will provide a framework for the exchange of knowledge on the most recent advances in the field of geosynthetics.”
A commercial exhibition will take place as well, where manufacturers and suppliers will present their most recent innovations in the field of geosynthetics.
