Who should attend?

You and a couple thousand other attendees, exhibitors, speakers, instructors, organizers, presenters, and sponsors.

Who is the organizer?

Geosynthetics 2013 is organized by the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), a not-for-profit trade association celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2012. Among its many contributions to the industrial fabrics industry are numerous contributions specifically to the world of geosynthetic materials. IFAI has been a linchpin organization in this regard, supporting and growing the geosynthetics industry by organizing successful industry events since 1982, including the recent co-organization of GeoAmericas 2008 in Cancún and Geo-Frontiers 2011 in Dallas. IFAI conferences have provided networking opportunities and exposure for industry engineers, specifiers, contractors, government agencies, and academics.

Who are the chairs for this event?

Sam Allen from TRI Environmental and Prof. Bob Holtz from the University of Washington are co-chairs for the event; David Suits from NAGS is the education/short courses chair; Stan Boyle from Shannon Wilson and Prof. Shobha Bhatia from Syracuse are the technical papers co-chairs; and Mark DeSalvatore with the California DOT is the Southwest Geotechnical Engineers Conference liaison and is a member-at-large.

Who else will be there?

Geosynthetics 2013 is co-locating in Long Beach with the annual Southwest Geotechnical Engineers Conference (SWGEC). Geosynthetics 2013 is also the site for the 25th edition of the Geosynthetic Research Institute’s conference, GRI-25.

What?

What else will be included at Geosynthetics 2013?

Plenary lectures, short courses, technical sessions, panel discussions, lunches in the exhibit hall, opening night reception in the exhibit hall, Southwest Geotechnical sessions, networking opportunities, and terrific California weather … see you there!
