Plastic welding and hot-air equipment manufacturer, Leister Process Technologies, has opened an expanded U.S. headquarters outside of Chicago, according to an Oct. 17 press release from the company.
The release said that the new facility in west-suburban Itasca, Ill., “quadruples Leister’s capabilities in North America.” Among new service offerings: complete inventory of geosynthetic tools for instant availability, spare parts inventory in place for overnight shipping, a new service and repair facility, and new training and demonstration areas.
“The expansion of Leister USA is paramount in our effort to better service the U.S. market,” said Jerry Zybko, general manager of Leister USA.
“This is the first step in our commitment to the U.S. geo industry,” said Steve Hobbs, business development manager of Leister USA’s geosynthetics division. “We’re ramping up our customer service and support network to assure a positive experience from start to finish with Leister tools,” Hobbs explained.
The press release also noted that Switzerland-based Leister is adding a new geosynthetics tool—the Fusion 3 extrusion welder, featuring 5mm rod feed—to address medium output extrusion welding projects.
