GSE offers two more geosynthetics seminars

GSE continues its series of “Geosynthetics 4 Success” technical seminars at two more sites this fall.

Oct. 13, the “4 Success“ seminar will be at the Omni Hotel in Pittsburgh. The primary topics include the latest developments in geosynthetics and the use of geosynthetics in shale-gas and coal-ash containment applications.

Speakers for the Pittsburgh event include: Robert Koerner from the Geosynthetic Institute, Carla L. Suszkowski from Range Resources, Steve Socash and Michael Forbeck (from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection), and Craig Benson from Wisconsin-Madison. Also, technical experts from GSE will be at the event.

A final “4 Success“ seminar is scheduled for Charlotte, N.C. on Nov. 3. This seminar will focus on product performance, benefits, issues, and an update on EPA coal-ash rules.

Speakers at the Charlotte seminar include: Robert Koerner from GSI, William E. Wolfe (Ohio State University), Frank Ney (U.S. EPA, Region 4), Mark D. Rokoff (URS Corp.), Mark Roberts (HDR Engineering), Ed Zimmel (GSE vice president of engineering), Mengjia Li (GSE geotextile and drainage product manager), and Jimmy Youngblood (GSE technical support manager).

Professional development hours (PDHs) and continuing education units (CEUs) are available for participants.
