American Environmental acquires Mid-America Lining

News | April 6, 2011 | By:

American Environmental Group Ltd. has acquired the geosynthetic liner operations of Union City, Tenn.-based Mid-America Lining Co., according to a press release from AEG this week.

Mid-America’s history includes geosynthetic installations on a national scale, and that is a natural addition to AEG’s current U.S.-based workforce, the release stated.

AEG currently features geosynthetic materials installation and fabrication, installation of landfill gas (LFG) collection and control systems, and LFG system operation and maintenance services. Mike Joslin, president and owner of Mid-America, founded the company in 1993 and brings 25 years of geosynthetic experience to AEG. “Mike’s experience and hands-on approach are a great fit with our existing operation,” said Carl Apicella, president of AEG. “We have a strong commitment to provide first-class service … Mike and his employees have operated with these same ideals for the last 17 years,” Apicella said.

Mid-America Lining will operate fully under the AEG name, with Joslin reporting to John Beeman, AEG’s senior operations manager, the press release said.
