Geosynthetics supplier expands in response to continued growth.

Thrace-LINQ, a supplier of woven and nonwoven geosynthetic technical fabrics, announced in a Feb. 23 press release the expansion of its Quality Assurance Department to include a new Process Improvement group.

Leading the Process Improvement team is James H. Brown, quality assurance manager. With more than 15 years of industry experience, he has served Thrace-LINQ since 2008 as the technical support liaison between the plant and corporate support groups, the release stated.

Brown will continue to lead the Quality Assurance Department and will oversee all Process Improvement activities, including introducing new processes, satisfying customer demands, and achieving technical specification compliance.

“To become increasingly competitive and serve the changing needs of the market, we must continuously improve our manufacturing efficiencies,” said Thrace-LINQ vice president Davis Taylor.

During the last two years, Thrace-LINQ has grown from a one needlepunched nonwoven operation to a two-line operation with a rapidly expanding portfolio serving the automotive, furniture, specialty, and industrial markets.

Thrace-LINQ Inc. is a supplier of woven and nonwoven polypropylene-based geosynthetic technical fabrics located in Summerville, S.C.
