The International Erosion Control Association’s Southeast Chapter held its first South Carolina Training and Field Days last fall.
Nearly 200 attendees took part during the 2-day event in Anderson, S.C. Day 1 included classroom training and exhibits focussing on stormwater and erosion-control topics.
Day 2 featured a visit to TRI/Environmental’s commercial testing facility, which offers performance testing of erosion- and sediment-control systems. The field day included large-scale demonstrations of products and systems to simulated rainfall, sheet flow, and concentrated channel flows.
Planners said a similar event will be held later this year.
