GeoAmericas-2008 and GRI-21 proceedings now available

All of the educational tracks from GeoAmericas- 2008 in Cancún are now available on CD: 238 papers from 44 technical sessions, more than 2,100 pages! The CD also contains the papers from all the sessions at GeoAmericas, including the Robert D. Holtz Symposium and all of the “Best Papers” presentations.

There are more than 2 dozen topic areas from the technical sessions, including: Geosynthetics in Landfills, Geosynthetics in Unsaturated Soils, Recycled Materials with Geosynthetics, Geotextile Tubes, Durability of Geosynthetics, Developments in Geomembranes, Base Reinforcement in Pavements, Embankments over Soft Soils, Performance of Walls and Slopes, Geosynthetics in Mining Applications, and Geosynthetics in Hydraulic Structures.

These proceedings are the results of the collaborative efforts of nearly 450 authors.

A second CD is also available now: the proceedings from the GRI-21 conference, also held in Cancun in March 2008. The GRI event focused on geosynthetics applications in agriculture and aquaculture.

More than a dozen papers were presented during this one-day conference, which was moderated by George Koerner, Grace Hsuan, and Bob Koerner from the Geosynthetic Institute.

The GeoAmericas CD is $125 for IFAI or IGS members, $195 for nonmembers. The GRI-21 CD is $50 for IFAI or IGS members, $75 for nonmembers.
