Coming: 3rd edition of SRW design manual

News | April 1, 2007 | By:

The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) Design Manual Task Group for Segmental Retaining Walls (SRW) has decided to create a third edition of its manual, which combines the SRW Drainage Design’s second edition and the Seismic Design manuals into one complete text.

The task force will re-examine the NCMA seismic design methodology to provide a more concise explanation of the roles and responsibilities of the parties involved in SRW design, in addition to making a clearer delineation of construction and an analysis of internal compound stability.

This newest edition of the design manual is scheduled for completion by the NCMA Midyear Meeting in Boston, July 25-29.For more information, please contact Rodger Prunty: 703 713 1900; rprunty@ncma.org.
