IGS relocates EuroGeo6 conference to Slovenia

Following the deadly June 28 bombing at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the Turkish Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) announced July 5 that the new venue is Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Dr. Erol Güler, chairman of the Turkish Chapter of the IGS and EuroGeo6, identified the capital of Slovenia as the new venue. His message from July 4:

We, as the Local Organizing Committee of EuroGeo6, are pleased to announce that the 6th EuroGeo Conference (EuroGeo6) will take place on September 25-28, 2016, in the GR–Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, Ljubljana, Slovenia. We are excited to offer same exhibition possibilities, registration fees, the scientific and cultural feast of a lifetime to one of the most refined crowds in the profession, in one of the most welcoming, inimitably exciting venues of the world.
