The Geosynthetic Materials Association (GMA) is among a handful of members of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) that will be recognized for their 30th year of continuous IGS corporate membership. The IGS awards program takes place at the GeoAmericas 2016 conference on Monday, April 11, in Miami, Fla.

The GeoAmericas opening keynote lecture on April 11 is scheduled to start at 8 a.m. in the Americana 1 & 2 hall. The IGS awards ceremony will follow there immediately and is expected to start at 9:30 a.m.

Diana Davis, IGS secretariat manager, recently wrote to GMA division supervisor, Jonathan
Curry: “[We] look forward to seeing you and honoring the commitment to the IGS of GMA
(and IFAI) for 30 years.” (GMA is one of 14 divisions under the direction of IFAI [Industrial
Fabrics Association International], a not-for-profit trade association based in Roseville, Minn.)

Keith Gardner, the current chairman of GMA’s Executive Council, is accepting the award on behalf of GMA.
