Coolguard PW for liner and cover applications

Pawtucket, R.I.-based Cooley Group, announced in a March press release the launch of Coolguard PW, a geomembrane designed for reservoir lining and floating cover applications requiring National Science Foundation 61-certification. Cooley’s newest membrane was developed by applying the chemistry of its Coolguard product line, which is used for oil booms, pond liners, portable berms, and secondary containment solutions, according to the release.

“Coolguard utilizes Dupont Elvaloy (KEE), a terpolymer component of a proprietary alloy material. This alloy makes Coolguard intrinsically resistant to hydrocarbons and other chemicals in challenging environmental applications,” said Naresh Mehta, Cooley’s director of research and new product development.

The press release noted that Coolguard PW is NSF 61-certified (drinking water system components) and has a warranty of up to 30 years. It is available in widths up to 10 feet.
