Tektoseal Active Geocomposites are contaminant filters for soil and groundwater protection. They combine the function of geotextiles with the ability to remove pollutants from the carrier medium (water, soil air, landfill gas, etc.). Active geocomposites provide uniform and erosion-resistant pollutant filter layers over large areas. They have the ability to capture per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), hydrocarbons, non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), heavy metals, etc., without disrupting infiltration or groundwater flow patterns. Primary markets/applications are beneficial reuse of contaminated soils, contaminated soil encapsulation, capping of contaminated sediments, subsurface/groundwater protection, filtration of polluted surface waters and pollution prevention on construction sites.
