MACMAT® R

MacMat R is a high-performance turf reinforcement matting typically used in civil and environmental engineering projects. DRAIN AWAY panel drain is a prefabricated geocomposite drain consisting of a formed polystyrene core enveloped in a non-woven needle-punched polypropylene filter fabric with extra room at the bottom to insert a perforated pipe. When surface water is absorbed in the ground or subsurface, water is forced by hydrostatic pressure against the DRAIN AWAY system. The filter fabric allows groundwater to easily enter into the core while preventing adjacent soil from entering. The channels of the core allow the water to drain to a perforated pipe inserted below and be carried away. On most projects, the excavated material can be used for backfill, eliminating trucking cost, purchasing and handling of aggregate, and extra steps in the field. DRAIN AWAY geocomposite drain’s chief benefit is that it is a complete system; it drains from both sides and is completely wrapped in geotextile and includes space at the bottom to insert perforated pipe. It is lightweight and easy to install. It requires less time, labor and equipment than conventional stone and pipe. Primary applications are curtain drains, foundations, retaining walls, slopes, hill slip repair, roadways and athletic fields.

GEOVOLT® CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITE

Layfield Group

Layfield’s Geovolt was developed to address key challenges in quality assurance testing for containment facilities. It offers reliable electrical leak detection and location for ponds, landfills, tank liners and both primary and secondary containment systems. Geovolt also serves as an excellent substrate for spray-applied polyurea, converting a standard polyurea liner into a conductive one. It ensures the highest level of quality assurance, meeting ASTM D7852 standards for the use of electrically conductive geotextiles in leak location surveys. Compatible with nearly any non-conductive geomembrane, Geovolt eliminates the limitations of polyethylene-based liners.
