Bentofix X are multicomponent geosynthetic clay liners (GCL). Two durable geotextile outer layers are combined with a uniform core of high-swelling powder sodium bentonite clay, with an additional polyethylene extrusion-coated barrier. Bentofix X sealing applications are landfill caps, closures and bases; environmental protection under roads, railways and airports; dams and dykes; water containment and ponds; structural waterproofing; secondary containment; mining and tunnels. Versatile sealing applications are possible. Immediate sealing and long-term performance will be realized. Polyethylene (PE) coating gives add-on values (improved fluid barrier, desiccation resistance and root barrier, as well as protection against ionic exchange and piping). Direct coverage with concrete and lime is possible. With Bentofix X, self-sealing length overlaps are available. Quick, easy and cost-efficient installation is achieved.
