GEOKON certified to ISO 9001:2015

GEOKON Inc., a manufacturer of geotechnical and structural instrumentation, announced in a prepared statement on June 13, 2018, that they have been certified under ISO 9001:2015 from both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)/ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) in the U.S. and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) in the U.K. as of June 1, 2018. NQA Global performed the mandatory recertification audit that began in February 2018 and concluded in May. Marty Gibson lead the recertification process for GEOKON.

“We are excited to be awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification,” GEOKON director Jack Taylor said in the GEOKON statement. “Achieving the ISO 9001:2015 standard demonstrates our unwavering pledge to always operate at the highest levels of quality, efficiency and integrity.”

In addition to ISO 9001:2015, GEOKON’s calibration program complies with ANSI/NCSL Z540-1 and all primary calibration standards are traceable to the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST), in Washington, D.C., and are calibrated by laboratories with ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. GEOKON is also a qualified supplier for U.S. nuclear facilities in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)/Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA)-1, Quality Assurance Program requirements.

GEOKON manufactures structural and geotechnical instrumentation, offering a full complement of instrumentation for a wide range of applications, including tunnels, dams, mines, piles, bridges, pipelines, landfills, embankments and wind turbines.
