GSI’s July 10 webinar

Mechanically stabilized wall back drainage design.

The Geosynthetic Institute’s monthly webinar series continues this Wednesday, July 10, 2013, 11:30 a.m.–1p.m. (EDT): “MSE wall back drainage design.”

The importance of the topic lies in the fact that 60% of MSE wall failures with geosynthetic reinforcement are directly attributed to water within or around the reinforced soil zone. Back (and base) drainage is necessary for the safe removal of this water. While the webinar is indeed technical, the design aspects will be presented in an approachable manner—i.e., the webinar will be somewhat analytic but not excessively so.

Very truly yours,
